Ice Cream Truck of Rights

Illustration, Design, Production

In collaboration with the Museum of Ice Cream and Touching Land, The Ice Cream Truck of Rights was a mobile democracy and community center that delivered actionable knowledge, resources, and joy to the hardest-hit neighborhoods of New York City. With every free ice cream, we would hand out a corresponding palm card with information in one of our 8 “flavors”, spanning education, housing, immigration, climate, voting, healthcare, labor, and education.

My title was Junior Designer, but I was supported by seasoned Designer, Deana K. Yu, who lead the design while I did much of the illustration work on the project. I worked alongside a rotating group of other young people, adult leaders, city designers, and community organizers.
