Summary

TERRA: SOUL: Echoes from the Future Ancestors is an anthology published by Porchwater Press featuring 40+ QTBIPOC writers, artists, musicians, drag queens, collectives, and organizers. The publication explores ecological struggle, collective liberation, ancestry, and the future through texts, images, sounds, and stories.

I worked as Associate Designer, collaborating with Lead Designer Raya Marie Hazell to develop the publication’s visual language and editorial system. Through typography, image-making, and layout, we created a flexible design that could hold the anthology’s diverse voices and mediums while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.

The project was a Black queer women-led publishing initiative based in Lenapehoking and an opportunity to explore design as a tool for community-led cultural production and collective world-building.
