WORK    ABOUT

About

Hugo Gonzalez (he/they) is a Latine (Mexican-Colombian-American) interdisciplinary artist and designer whose practice engages digital media, print, and social practice.

Growing up in an immigrant working-class family, he explores the complexities of distance in its geographical, emotional, and temporal forms. By merging tradition, technology, and critical pedagogy, he hopes to create spaces of healing and belonging for marginalized communities, like the ones he comes from.

Outside of his professional creative projects, he is interested in silkscreen, gardening, and his 35mm film camera.
