Summary
This NACLA Report is a quarterly print magazine covering Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latinx communities in the United States—as well as regular online articles. NACLA has been a valued source of research, news, and foreign policy analysis on Latin America and the Caribbean since 1967. Both the NACLA Report and nacla.org website feature a vast range of new and established voices writing on the region.
My Role
I was commissioned to illustrate the cover for the Winter 2021, Spring 2022, and Spring 2024 issues of NACLA. During the process, I researched the history of journalism in Latin America and the aesthetics of similar social movements. With this information, I created multiple thumbnail sketches and presented them to the committee before finalizing a variation.
