Summary
Mobile Print Power is a multigenerational printmaking and political education collective founded in Corona, Queens in 2013. Through participatory design, portable silkscreen carts, and collaborative artmaking, the collective works with communities to create books, prints, and public sculptures as tools for social and cultural change.
My Role
I volunteered as the Director of Communications. For this project, I led the creation and rebranding of Mobile Print Power’s digital and visual communications. I directed the development of a new website and designed a flexible identity system across stickers, business cards, and promotional materials for programs including Printed Ecologies and Impressions of Resistance.
Process
MPP’s practice is rooted in collaboration, feedback, and participatory design. We approach each project as a collective process rather than a top-down design service, working alongside community members to develop ideas, make decisions, and produce visual work together. I wanted to treat the website as a living document that evolves through collective reflection, experimentation, and practice beyond my time with the organization.
